to CDC. West Nile Virus(WNV) infection was determined by laboratory testing.
Case locations are based on the county of residence (or county equivalent) of
the patient, not the medical facility location. Note that the map includes all
areas of positive (confirmed or probable) WNV results, but not necessarily all
areas with submitted samples or no reports.
